The town of Kilcock is situated in North Kildare and close to the
Meath border, about 30 km west of Dublin.
The Royal Canal and M4 motorway pass close to the town. A new railway station
opened in 1999. The Catholic Parish of Kilcock and Newtown
(seventeen hundred family groups) is
served by two churches, St. Cocas Church in Kilcock and the Church of the
Nativity of Our Lady in Newtown.
Kilcock is unique in that it holds the distinction of having a river (the Rye),
a road, a canal and a railway line all running through the heart of the town.
